My grandfather, who has been such an inspirational part of my childhood, died last weekend, in Bangalore. He had lived a fullfilling life, and enriched our lives to the maximum extent possible. His legacy remains in the form of his wonderful family. May he rest in peace!
Another day, another milestone! I graduate from the Masters program this Sunday, May 21, 2006. James Levinson is the Commencement Speaker, and I can think of no better inspiration for fresh graduates! Having heard him speak at Marlboro College, I am looking forward to his speech! My journey has only begun! The huge PhD mountain looms before me! Before I start scaling it, I think I need to see more of this country. I start with a trip to Philly next week for a Positive Deviance training workshop at the Albert Einstein Medical Center . After that, the world is my oyster!
Given that my knee could navigate the 20 mile walk for hunger, I have decided to train with F and her friend A, for a 10K run in July. For obvious reasons, they would be training to run it in the shortest time possible, while I will be training to just complete it!
Today is Day 2 of my epic battle with Jerry and Monique's computer, trying to get it to work without crashing, sending weird pop-ups, messing up the display, and generally being a Windows machine!
The struggle continues...
