The writing hand, having writ, goes into spasms...

43 hours and 20 minutes before I receive my written question for my PhD qualifing exam... the question on everybody's mind is....
"Who let the dogs out...to take PhD exams???"
The question on my mind is...
"What is the meaning of life? Does the ends of life justify the means or do they only affect standard errors and test statistics" (Duh, sorry, statistics joke.... All Ye Awake, Stats nerd in Da House!)

oh.... its still going on...
This exam is a week long one... I get a broad question about a food policy, and I have to create a proposal to address the question that has been asked of me... Unfortunately, I am not allowed to discuss the question :( ... It has to be my baby!
I am currently in the process of creating something called a "conceptual framework" which is basically an outline of all the aspects of this issue i am grappling with, and arrows are used to depict a connection... i now have lots of boxes and lots of arrows... I have to pull out a proposal from this mess??? Fat Chance.. so this morning, i decided to go for a run to clear my head... that was two hours ago... i need to get back to my concept thingy... My schedule for the next week is: Wake up, Run for 45 minutes, Create proposal for 17 hours, Sleep for five hours, Wake Up... its an iterative thing.. Updates when they happen, if at all...
